Although we’ve never had a flood, our premiums kept going up because, apparently, we’re in a flood risk area! Westhill provided better cover for less. Thank you.
Our cottage at Salthouse on the North Norfolk Coast was unfortunately hit by the North Sea flood surge on 6th December 2013. Within a day, a loss adjuster was appointed, an on-site visit arranged and a ‘flood clean up’ team engaged. All this at a time when you must have been extremely busy with other claimants in the same situation as us. We found the loss adjuster to be extremely professional and helpful, and were particularly grateful to be able to use our nominated builder (who knew the property well) for the repair work, once the cottage had dried out. Interim claim payments were also promptly paid to us. Our brokers- Westhill Insurance Ltd- kept a watching brief during the claims process, and we are very grateful to them for that. It is a pleasure to write a letter such as this, rather than one of complaint.
