Travel insurance is a serious matter

It has been noted by the Association of British Insurers that Britons don't take travel insurance seriously.

Over half of the Britons who travel abroad don't have any travel insurance. Basic things like losing your case is in an inconvenience, having hotel issues or missing your flight can be problematic but travel cover will take the sting out any problems as you will be reimbursed.

However if you have a nasty accident or come down with a debilitating bug, and you don't have cover you could be in a difficult situation. When it comes to medical costs abroad they don't have the National Health we have, so everything has a price. What could be a good family holiday can quickly turn into a huge bill that will take years to pay off.

With the recent Egyptian floods coming out of nowhere, many travellers were left stranded. That is a perfect example of travel insurance being useful. Those affected would have needed to change flights, travel plans and possibly hotels too, all of which is costly.

No travel insurance is definitely a false economy if you are subject to an act of God. To make sure you are covered then talk to Westhill Insurance who will be more than happy to help.
